No
Regret
This year, another New Year,
another year to cheer anew.
Do not fret nor regret,
regroup, renew, this New Year !

Renew
by Roger W Hancock
A new year to renew our cheer,
not to jeer nor to sneer,
but adhere to the Word of the Lord so dear !
Not of guilt in fear, but with contrite tears,
draw near in His Love where Christ appears !

Self Resolve
by Roger W Hancock
New year tidings of new beginnings,
past regrets refresh reform;
resolved for resolutions.
Fresh as frozen rain
on newly fallen snow,
honesty brings true reflection.
Cool
crisp frosted air,
mist of morning fog
our past failed resolutions.
Sunlight ribbons stream through
morning's tapestry of,
true, new, self reflection.
Determination examination,
inward thoughts of self perceptions
form those New Year resolutions.

New Year
Beginnings
by Roger W Hancock
New Year Day to begin anew,
begin new life this New Year!
Time to reflect, maybe regret,
Forgiving asked, forgiving given,
New year dawns to new beginnings.

New Year’s Day
by Roger W Hancock
A new beginning once each year,
high-spirited resolutions.
Intended purpose or fermented spirit,
perseverance once each year.
Another calendar to plan again
let priority of family be your gain.
Record the plans that you dream,
lest fleeting time to pass them by.
It takes on the hour of each 24 hours,
on one day to begin each year.
Celebrations ‘round the clock,
for purposeful existence to renew.
Midnight comes, hands straight up,
the end of one small era.
Let the next be your best,
in the coming of this year next.
Each 24 hours hands straight up,
around the world begins each year.
Cheers of shouts and so much noise,
as the hands of time roll by.

First Forgiven
by Roger W Hancock
New Year's day forgives the old,
marks new dawn of future.
Those who may be at odds,
with another family member,
now is the time to reconcile.
Be the first to take first step,
make a resolution:
Resolve first to be the first,
the first to say, “I’m Sorry!”
For the sin at
odds, a sacrifice,
paid by the blood of Christ.
God forgave that we forgive,
to help each other to the prize.
Offence we feel a little hurt,
but may our souls subvert.
We have no right to withhold,
forgiveness that we’re given.
Christ first had forgiven us,
before our sinned offence.

New Year’s Revolution
by Roger W Hancock
New Year’s Day for habits view,
habits to chain, break with new.
Retrospection with rebirth,
evaluation to improve your worth.
Resolutions revolution,
accommodation or redemption?
Battle wretched ties that bind,
begin anew with renewed mind.

Come the eve of New Year’s Day,
Evening of the year’s last say.
