Zander Hugs
by Roger W Hancock
Zander loves to hug
his Nana,
then to hug his Papa.
Nana, Papa loves it too,
have their Zander hug them so.
One day Zander gave his hugs,
one to Uncle Johnny too.
Papa and Daddy continued talking,
Zander kept on playing.
Time came to really leave,
but had to hug us all, again,
Short quick hug to Papa,
quick look back to Daddy.
Quick dash over to Nana,
to hug her quickly too.
Another quick look to Daddy,
then a hug for Uncle Johnny.
One last hug to everyone.
Ran to Daddy at the door,
says to him, “I’m sorry,”
as they headed out the door.

Or when he wants some candy.
