Brush
by Roger W Hancock
Floss around teeth and gums,
keep your smile keen.
Keep white teeth bright and clean,
brushing teeth and gums.
Every day brush your teeth,
fresh your breath becomes.

Bathe
by Roger W Hancock
Cleanse and bathe every day,
stinky smells are kept away.
Soap and suds melt away,
dirty sweat of play.

Easy Money
by Roger W Hancock
Table spreads, some easy money,
counting money one by one.
1… 2… 3… 4… 5 little pennies.
5 pennies make a nickel.
2 nickels make a dime.
Take a nickel and two dimes,
or 5 nickels make a quarter,
4 quarters make one dollar.
Soon we’ll need a paper clip,
1… 2… 3… 4… 5 dollar bills.
Five ones make a five.
Two fives make a ten.
Two tens make a twenty.
Take a ten and two twenties,
or five tens to make a fifty.
Two
fifties make one-hundred.
What to do with all that money?
Lay it down and count again.

Worry Why?
by Roger W Hancock
Oh, me; oh,
my!
Oh, why; oh why?
Worry me; oh, worry why?
Worry does not change a thing.
I wonder why it worries me.
Why; oh, why?
Oh, me; oh, my!

More

when you learn to save.

Life’s Pace
by Roger W Hancock
The ugly duckling we all know
a swan turned out to be.
The tortoise ran and won the race,
through a slow deliberate pace.
We take those stories,
that we will know. . .
in life’s race. . . we set the pace.

Brother, Sister

Brothers and sisters who love to heckle,
I love them though they’re Hyde and Jeckyl..

Girls, Boys and the Lid
by Roger W Hancock
Little girls must look first,
to see the seat is down.
Then look, a closer look;
the seat be clean and dry.
Little boys will not think.
Though study the bowl,
and flush the tank;
they will forget the seat.
Little boys must always try,
to remember the toilet seat.
Lift the seat, aim real straight,
then put the seat back down.

Seasons of Life
by Roger W Hancock
Life comes in the flowery bowery of spring.
Growth occurs in the sunshine warmth of summer.
Maturity as we drop our childhood toys in fall.
Reflection in the cold, chill, snap of winter.

Season’s Cycle
by Roger W Hancock
Spring into
summer, fall into winter,
spring into the flowers of summer.
Fall with care on the ice of winter,
then spring back up and do it again.

Once a Rainbow
by Roger W Hancock
Once a
rainbow I did see,
It came right down in front of me.

but a rainbow treasure for me to see.

My
Bath
by Roger W Hancock
Every night I
take a bath,
to avoid my mommy’s wrath.
I clean my tummy and my toes,
then my ears and shine my nose.
Then as best as I can I try,
I take a towel and rub me dry.

I’ll Be Me
by Roger W Hancock
If I were a
dog instead of me,
I could bark, but not climb a tree.
If a monkey I could swing, tree to tree,
but then I could not learn. . . to be me.
If I were you I would not have,
my mom and dad to cuddle me.
So, you have yours and I’ll have mine,
I’ll be the me I was meant to be.

Windmills
by Roger W Hancock
Wind blows as
the windmill turns,
lots of watts the wind mill churns.
The wind-mills turn by wind’s chill,
power our lights and our cooking grill.

Passing Wind
by Roger W Hancock
Passing wind roars through the
trees,
passing wind
whispers in the bushes.
Sounds of wind passing by,
is how I hear the passing wind.
Passing by when bending trees,
is how I see the passing wind.

Do Right
by Roger W Hancock
We have a
mind to think and do.
Stop and think before you do,

Set your mind to do what’s right,

Oil and Coal
by Roger W Hancock
Oil and coal, oil and coal.
What do I do without,
oil and coal?
Oil is slick and greasy,
and burns upon a wick.
Coal is a jet black,
burned to heat the shack.
What would I do without?
oil and coal?

You Are Special
by Roger W Hancock
Did you know who,
before you grew,
carried you through,
the animal zoo?
Was it they who knew,
though you could not view
nor have then a clue,
how special are you?
