Bells of Christmas Morning
by Roger W Hancock
Morning chime, church bells ring,
through snow filled crystal air.
As
hand’s cool slap to sting,
snap
of cold against cheeks fair.
“Oh
Holy Night”,
hymn
of ages chime.
Stars
above, long ago sight,
heaven’s light years shine.
“Away In The Manger”,
song
of Savior’s birth.
Baby
born a stranger,
to
many who walk this earth.
“Silent Night”,
holiness in silence.
Stillness lit by starlight,
broken
by bell’s brilliance.
“Hark The Herald Angels Sing”,
newborn King to praise.
Angelic
voices ring,
rose
against moon’s phase.
“What Child Is This?”
wonder
Child innocent.
Mother
marvels baby’s kiss,
aware
of future advent.
Ring,
oh ring, Christmas Day,
bells
cry out His praise.
Listen
as church bells pray,
holiness of Son, chimes raise.

Christmas Day
by Roger W Hancock
Family gathering, gift exchanging,
Santa Clause, yet not the cause.
Birth of Jesus Christ a baby;
gift by God, His Son for us.

Praise to Baby Jesus,
Son of God. The Psalms of the Bible are praises to God and His Son who
would be born of Virgin birth to live a life of purity, sinless.
He, Jesus the Christ, would be crucified; a lamb sacrificed in
atonement for my and your sins. A sinless man to pay the price
of sin, a scapegoat for all of sinful mankind. |
We Celebrate Christ's birth to
celebrate Christ's death. Christ's death upon a cross, crucified
that we might receive eternal life. Without our partaking of the
atonement for sin by the shedding of Christ's blood we are
doomed to an eternal death. A living Death in Hell. Those of us
who securely look to Heaven through the life of Jesus Christ,
celebrate his virgin birth on Christmas Day. Jesus, born a babe,
lived to teach, died to love. |
