Easter History |
The varied traditions have varied origins. The setting
of the date is disputed.
Undisputable in many lives, is Christ, born to die for our sin, who is
God's gift of eternal life. Christ's resurrection is our victory. |

festivals of pagan fertility,
come the many rabbit bunnys,

Easter
by Roger W Hancock
Three days after crucifixion,
from the grave arose the Christ.
Victory over death, on our behalf;
resurrection from, eternal death.

Praise to the Lamb, Jesus,
Son of God. The Psalms of the Bible are praises to God and His Son who
would be born of Virgin birth to live a life of purity, sinless.
He, Jesus the Christ, would be crucified; a lamb sacrificed in
atonement for my and your sins. A sinless man to pay the price
of sin, a scapegoat for all of sinful mankind. Three days after
His death he would rise again with victory over sin that we
also, through Him be victorious. |
We Celebrate Christ's death to
celebrate new life in His resurrection. Christ's death upon a cross, crucified
to rise again three days later, that we might receive eternal life. Without our partaking of the
atonement for sin by the shedding of Christ's blood we are
doomed to an eternal death. A living Death in Hell. Those of us
who securely look to Heaven through the life of Jesus Christ,
celebrate in remembrance, his death then his resurrection at Easter. Jesus, born a babe,
lived to teach, died to love, resurrected to overcome the sin of
mankind for those who would ask God for forgiveness and Jesus
into their lives. |
